We in the Episcopal church have no predominant single theologian who expresses the Anglican or Episcopal position. We have instead a methodology, combining Scripture, Reason and Tradition. We ask first what Scripture has to say, if anything, on a subject and also in what context it was said. Then we examine how reasonable and clear is the scripture and what, if anything, tradition has to contribute to the subject.
