Education

Sunday School

On Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall, Epiphany offers educational classes for children, youth, and adults. Adult classes run year round, and classes for children and youth run from September to May. New Students are invited to begin at any time.

Children up to age four meet in the Nursery. The class centers on Bible stories and simple Christian concepts, with artwork and projects to reinforce important principles.

Children in grades Kindergarten to six experience a slightly more advanced curriculum, learning the Scriptures and their application to daily life.

Youth of junior-high and high-school age meet in the Teens' Room in the Parish Hall. Their lively gatherings help the young people to explore their spirituality and keep their lives centered on Christ.

For adults there is a Christian Ethics class of open discussion in the guild room in the Parish Hall.

Other Programs

Inquirers classes for those seeking confirmation or reception are offered annually, starting a few weeks before the Bishop's visit. Contact Fr. Pete for more information.

Each Thursday at 11:00 am (Labor Day to Memorial Day), a Bible Study group meets in the Parish Hall. The group welcomes new members at any time. Bring a sack lunch.

Epiphany's annual Family Vacation Bible School (VBS) has
become a highlight of our summers, with classes offered for
all ages. It is usually held Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The event includes supper for all and musical worship as well.

At Camp Hardtner, our Diocese of Western Louisiana offers numerous educational and enrichment opportunities for all ages and interests. For our young people, Epiphany is fortunate to have a scholarship fund available for those wishing to attend these events. Contact Fr. Pete Smith for more information on scholarships.
